About Me

My name is Stephanie. I am 46 years old. I was diagnosed in 2010 with Multiple Sclerosis and Transverse Myelitis. I am a wife and mother of two children. Our son is 23 and our daughter is 19 (soon to be 20). We have 3 four-legged children in the form of miniature dachshunds; Wilson (16), Lettie (5) and Tucker (2). I am a retired teacher, where I taught for 15 years. I had the distinct pleasure of working with Special Needs students in a Cross Categorical classroom. My health forced me into early retirement and then my journey of figuring out life with this disease began. I am not a doctor, psychologist or any other professional. However, I am a woman that is living with Multiple Sclerosis and I hope to offer support, insight and personal knowledge of my journey so far. I will share stories of things that have happened to me. I will also share with you some of the things that have worked for me and even some of the things that do not. I hope to offer insight and understanding into this disease from my perspective. At times it will be good. At times it will be bad. Other times it may be hopeful or ugly. I will also try to be motivational in ways. But if all else fails I will lend you my ear in hopes to offer understanding, compassion or encouragement on your journey. Feel free to contact me, share or comment. God Bless.
